Are you a Dutch company that processes personal data? Then you have to make sure that on May the 25th your whole data processing management complies with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). At this stage, you must have heard about this new European regulation, which is the buzz topic of the moment. But, there's a reason for the theme to be widely represented. The regulation is complicated, and you risk a big fine if you don't comply with it entirely. It's therefore hard to implement the GDPR without having to bring in an expensive third party to consult you.
Luckily, there's also Nederland ICT which is the industry's association of the ICT sector in the Netherlands. Crystalloids Innovations is a member, and that gives us lots of advantages, especially when it comes to the implementation of the GDPR. Besides hosting informative workshops about the GDPR, Nederland ICT has compiled quite some information and roadmaps and put it on their website.
One of the most helpful components is the self-assessment on their website that lets you test to which extent you are meeting the requirements of the GDPR at this moment. The self-assessment is part of a 5 step roadmap for the practical implementation of the GDPR and is primarily meant for data-processors.
